Looking for input from from ...all of you

I've been contemplating a portable music player. Either iPod or Zune - I am currently undecided as to which (and I know several of you on each side of the apple/microsoft divide of this debate). My problem? I really only need a 'music player' not a video device (I don't watch much 'tube anyway) and as I check my music folder I have 31.5gb of tunes - that's *not* a typo, and it's also not all of my music - it's just what's on the HD right now.

Talk to me, peoples, please. Give me input. I'd like to know why I should get am iPod/zune/whatever, which one I should be looking at, what features are best to look for, warranty usefulness, etc.
